AFD.SYS locking pages in memory

Summary: AFD.SYS locking pages in memory
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.40
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://meyer.comm.uiuc.edu
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: mpm_winnt
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: meyer@newslink.org

Using Win2K SP3 and Apache 2.0.40 with basic modules. Server appears (at least
to MSIE 6) to go down and yield DNS-not-found error. No errors are created in
Apache or Win Events. Restarting Win2K cures. Restarting Apache BSODs Windows
with above message, created after using Windbg instructions to change registry
to better identify error onscreen during dump. Apache site hints of similar
problem with WinXP, supposedly fixed by MS. No such fix for Win2K; still using
AFD.SYS 5.00.2195.4667. Going back to unlimited MaxRequestsPerChild and higher
than recommended ThreadsPerChild seems to reduce frequency but not eliminate.
Also running ZoneAlarm 3.1.291. At one point seemed to be an outside chance of
a correlation (an hour way, plus or minus) with some sort of worm attack noted
in logs (attempt to go after non-existent MSIIS scripts directories), but that
seems less correlated now. Effectively stops server once every 18 to 24 hours,
compared with once every 3 to 6 hours previously.
