graduation related question

Justin M. has asked the following questions on the general list
relating to the graduation vote [1]:

1. Diversity of current committers and who they work for, and the same
for the proposed PMC (when that is decided).
2. There seems to be a heavy reliance on communication on Slack. Is
this a barrier for people from other time zones from the main
developers or people who can’t work full time of the project?

I have gathered all the contributors across our repos and the
histogramed contributions per contributor but I cannot automatically
determine their affiliations. I don't know how --- other projects have
done this (looking at the knative one in particular). Does anyone know
how to gather the affiliations automatically, or can someone recommend
a good way of gathering this information?

In terms of the reliance on Slack - I think we've addressed this in
the past and clarified the modes of communication on our project web
page. I will point to that. If you are subscribed to general, please
feel free to chime in.

Thanks Bertrand. I have opened a PR to address the use of slack. I also
highlighted the dev list more prominently as the place for all important
discussions.

https://github.com/apache/incubator-openwhisk-website/pull/384 feedback
welcome.

I haven't found it, not sure if it happened. Slack is mentioned at
http://openwhisk.apache.org/community.html and
https://openwhisk.apache.org/slack.html but without recommendations on
how to use it, AFAICS.

It was discussed at [1] but I don't see a mention of it happening there either.

Ask Infra I know one of the Infra folks created a tool to get Github stats across all apache repos and I think also includes company affiliation.

So the dashboard might be there and it might be a matter to filter to openwhisk repos.
