apache + tomcat + mod_webapp, response code is missing

Hello,

I want to install a wap application in apache/tomcat. I use
1) apache 2.0.39
2) tomcat 4.0.4
3) mod_webapp from tomcat_connectors 4.0.4

I have compiled all three on HP-UX 11. Both tomcat and apache run.

If Iuse tomcat alone on port 8080, I get the right response, with right
response code 200.
If I use apache, I get the same right response text as from tomcat, but the
first line:

HTTP/1.1  OK

is missing code 200. I would expect "HTTP/1.1 200 OK".

what have I done wrong with apache/tomcat configurations ? or which site
can I check  for this error?
