Proxies and toString

I just added a static toString to ProxyHelper which does not materialize
a proxy. Could we revoke the previous fix to IndirectionHandler which 
checked specifically for toString ? I think that invoking toString on an
object should materialize it as it is a normal business operation. If we
don't want this behavior (e.g. logging) then we should use this new method
instead.
