This probably should be a sub-task for major a major revamp of how we report our replication metrics in HBase in the UI. 

After switching {{hbase.rpc.protection}} to {{privacy}} in one cluster I didn't noticed immediately there was a mismatch across my other clusters which caused replication to stop. Ideally if this happens we should have a better log message and show this mismatch in the RegionServer and Master UIs.
