[jira] [Updated] (HBASE-14613) Remove MemStoreChunkPool?
Lars Hofhansl updated HBASE-14613:
----------------------------------
Attachment: 14613-0.98.txt
Trivial patch. Simply remove the chunk pool and all its uses. Also allow a slight clean up of MemStoreLAB, as we no longer need to reference count chunks for how many scanner use 'em.

> I just stumbled across MemStoreChunkPool. The idea behind is to reuse chunks of allocations rather than letting the GC handle this.
> Now, it's off by default, and it seems to me to be of dubious value. I'd recommend just removing it.
