Openwhisk-user-events repository

Hi openwhiskers,
Thank you for the positive feedback from our tech exchange meeting this morning and the willingness to add the `user monitoring services` as part of the OW projects family.

As you guys suggested, I’m starting a thread to discuss the best place where we could move the current `openwhisk-user-events` repository[1]:

  1. Move it inside `incubator-openwhisk`
  2. Create a separate repo: `incubator-openwhisk-monitoring`

I’ll be happy to do the transfer and update the documentation once the decision is made.

Regards,
Cosmin Stanciu

I’m ok to be in main repo, image code lives there and then follow to be
leverage in kube deploy and compose

Yes, Chetan and I could take ownership on this and timely respond to any issues or related changes.
I see that there is consensus on moving this to the main repo, we'll be preparing a PR for the merge.

Thx,
Cosmin

Cosmin, welcome! And thank you for the presentation today which I just watched on replay. This is great to see and I think a huge addition to openwhisk. OpenFaaS I think did a pretty good job early on of integration metrics like this with the service and I’ve seen that resonate quite well with that community.

So this is awesome. I’d favor adding this directly to the main openwhisk repository and part of the standard deployment, and related updates to other deployments.

Thanks Chetan also, I understood from the playback that you were also involved.
