Get partition ID

Given that any single logical operator may have multiple physical partitions, is there any way for an operator to know something akin to a partition ID? E.g. part0, part1, etc.

They are unique but you should not make assumptions about the sequence.

By default, are the IDs returned by getId() method sequential like 0..(N-1)
where there are N instances of the operator or these IDs are some unique
numbers?
