problems with hudson

It looks like ubuntu1 is hosed a bit and the hudson backlog for an ubuntu
machine is prodigious.  To side-step this, I just
changed Mahout-quality to run on either ubuntu or solaris.  I also slightly
limited the number of old builds we keep.

At least this allows us to get some builds in.  I have no opinion about
whether building on solaris sometimes is a bad
thing, but it seems pretty good just now.
