[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-7344) VOLUME.DELETE usage event missing for VM's in ERROR state

Min Chen created CLOUDSTACK-7344:
------------------------------------

Summary: VOLUME.DELETE usage event missing for VM's in ERROR state
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-7344
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-7344
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: Storage Controller
    Affects Versions: 4.2.0
            Reporter: Min Chen
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 4.5.0

CloudStack is not generating the VOLUME.DELETE event for VM's which are failed to be deployed. That is if the VM deployment is failed for some reason. The VM state is updated as ERROR and cleanup is performed to release the resources allocated to the VM. As a part of cleanup volume state is updated as 'DESTROY' but no VOLUME.DELETE event is generated causing the usage issue customer is seeing now.
