close old tickets?

Hi all, is anyone up for a bug squashing party or for reviewing old tickets?
There's a bunch of them with patches and it would be cool if we could close
some of them.

So, let's start reviewing the first one:

http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-1

is there any progress? Is it intended for all languages? I know at least one
language with a patch for this (*cough* Twisted *cough* ;-))

I worked on a rough prototype for Apache MINA (Java), nothing serious. We
(Fluidinfo) may release something for its use with AMQP (just like what we
did with txAMQP, but Java), but it would be nice if others have interest on
something similar.

Cheers.

So, what's the conclusion? Break it into smaller tickets? Close THRIFT-1? Is
there anyone else interested in going through the list of old tickets and
review them?

Cheers.

We have a working prototype of this at Facebook in C++. We're still ironing
out the kinks, but I'll try to get it into a git branch in the next few weeks.
