Configuration directives

I am attempting to come up with a mechanism to store Apache
configuration information in an LDAP-compliant directory, which is used
to dynamically create the httpd.conf file programmatically.  The
question I have is: other than the fact that a module must be loaded
before the directives it defines are encountered, is the order of
directives important in httpd.conf?
