[jira] [Created] (OFBIZ-4914) LookupDecorator not working with
Arabic characters
Taher Alkhateeb created OFBIZ-4914:
--------------------------------------
Summary: LookupDecorator not working with Arabic characters
Key: OFBIZ-4914
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-4914
Project: OFBiz
Issue Type: Bug
Components: ALL COMPONENTS
Affects Versions: Release Branch 12.04
Reporter: Taher Alkhateeb
Priority: Minor
Any form that uses the LookupDecorator in framework/common/widget/CommonScreens.xml would not return results when searching in Arabic. I suspect the main offender is javascript/jQuery when parsing user input.
For example, if I go to https://localhost:8443/ordermgr/control/findorders and click on "Party ID" pop-up window, and search the firstname or lastname in arabic, no values are returned and the value in the search box changes from arabic to some weird encoding ( e.g. "حسن" becomes Øس٠)
