Hi,

after discussion on private lists (royale and trademarks) and public legal about how to manage Apache Royale website, ASF members involved suggest to open this ticket so we could consolidate a position and operate in safety.

Apache Royale PMC members created a temporal site at http://royale.codeoscopic.com
to be the public face of the project.It's done based in wordpress (other ASF sites like this is feathercast). We want a modern, clean and fresh site easy to maintain and update since we must to compete with the current solutions available.
(Notice the preview url site is incomplete and as soon as we get green light we'll be working on the different pages).

To get to the current state without the tools we used would be nearly impossible. And our focus is to use our time to work in what we offer to the community: the apache royale source code that is really our interest, the reason behind our work here and the product we really deliver. So for us, the site is only a drive to get our goal, and we could compare with other tools in the chain like gihub, jira, maven and others.

We thought to host the site on wordpress.com, but we found plans are very limited and expensive so we want to generate the complete static html site from wordpress and upload it to Apache Royale website repo to be server by http://royale.apache.org

At this point this is the most easy way to make this happen and we think is behind the Apache rules to host static html on ASF repo and make it available from royale.apache.org.

Our main concern is about one of the pieces in the website used that is comercial:

We think we need to purchase a license of this piece of code that is an affordable cost of 59$ (only one payment forever). Notice that this days the item is on a sale for 39$. This could be done with fundraising or donation.

Hope we could get a response in order to continue working on the site to complete it for production and publish it as soon as we can.
