Monitor resource trend is important,   In particular run benchmark or performance test. currently, Bigtop lack mechanism to monitor resource including, OS CPU/Memory/IO ect.or metrics of hadoop cluster(Ganglia or other tools can be leveraged). 
File this is Umbrella jira to tracking more discuess,will create sub-task to cover tasks
