tomcat problems

hi,
I am trying to start Tomcat 3.0. But it is not starting if I am not logged on 
to my Internet. Its giving a 'Registry Bind error'. I am using Tomcat 3.0 on 
Win 95.

Even if I am logged on to the net, when I'm trying out the sample JSPs, I am 
getting an 

Error 500
Class not found java/utils/ArrayList

Any pointers ?
