How to get a Transaction Object in tomcat 4.1.24

Hi,

I was just wondering about how I can get a Transaction Object.. for tomcat
4.1.24, win2000, Oracle 8i database. I read
"jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html" and about Tyrex Connection Pool.
But the link is down where I can get the jar files. And it doesn't say about
Oracle.
If someone has implemented it using these resources please provide me the
setting in web.xml file.

Thanks

Pawan

Posted by Jacob Kjome <ho...@visi.com>.
If you are using any recent version of Tomcat, you should be using DBCP
connection pooling rather than Tyrex. All the libraries needed come with
the full Tomcat-4.1.24 version (not the LE version...stay away from the LE
version). The docs tell you how to do the configuration for DBCP.
