[jira] [Created] (TINKERPOP-2464) Provide indication of whether a timeLimit() is exceeded or not

Stephen Mallette created TINKERPOP-2464:
-------------------------------------------

             Summary: Provide indication of whether a timeLimit() is exceeded or not
                 Key: TINKERPOP-2464
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TINKERPOP-2464
             Project: TinkerPop
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: process
    Affects Versions: 3.4.8
            Reporter: Stephen Mallette

It may be helpful to know within the logic of a traversal (or perhaps to the logic of an application itself) if a {{timeLimit()}} step restricted the flow of a running traversal or not. Perhaps this could be implemented by way of:

{code}
g.V().timeLimit('a',1000).union(fold(),cap('a'))
{code}

Not sure of all the implications...just trying to capture the idea.
