[users@httpd] error 730038

Hello All I'm Chuck

Just new to the list. So I apologize if this is a well worn request. But

I'm running XP and I'm trying to get the latest Apache 2.0.43 running out of the box.

It looks like it installs alright but when I try to access the demo page on my machine. IE tells me I can't and when I peruse the err.log I get a lot of the following message

[error] (730038)An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket. : winnt_accept: AcceptEx failed. Attempting to recover.

I checked the FAQ and bug fixes with the 730038 number but turned up no hits.

I've tried the XP Hot patch that's supposed to handle duplicate socket handles but to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem? and if so how did you resolve it.

Thanks

Chuck
