[users@httpd] How to set up Perl to run from /cgi-bin ??

Hello,

Please help, I am having trouble executing Perl .pl/.cgi scripts
I'm running it on W2K Pro, Apache 2.0.45 with Perl 5.8.0 from Active
State

I've done the following so far:

I've add the Script Alias
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/cgi-bin/"

I've add the Directory setting like the following:
<Directory "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/cgi-bin">
    AllowOverride None
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews ExecCGI Includes
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
</Directory>

I've also added the AddHandler:
AddHandler cgi-script .pl

And add this line:
ScriptInterpreterSource registry

But it not working.
Perl installation it self is in:
C:\Program Files\perl\bin
And I've tried running the test.pl and env.pl from DOS Commant Prompt
and it works.

What else should I do?

Thank you and regards,
Marcello s.

Change the line: AddHandler cgi-script .pl to: AddHandler cgi-script .pl
.cgi

Hello Jeff,

Thanks for the info.
Its strange. Now,
Localhost/cgi-bin/printenv.pl returns with the question to download the
file.
While localhost/cgi-bin/env.pl works.

(and the other files I have to check with .cgi, still returns error
500/Internal Server Error)

any idea why?

thanks,
marcello s.
