   I suppose we can close this. The issue does still exist and will continue to be a problem on at least 8.1.x. We have not tried collapsed forwarding with any of the 9x releases yet to know if the behavior has changed at all
   
   Up to you if we want to close it or not, since it is a known problem on a current release, but it doesnt seem like a pressing want by the community at this point
