SVN (using r356857) does not put a 50_rules.cf in DATADIR now.. is this the
responsibility of sa-update?? if so, Archive::Tar should be a prereq in the
build process.

Can't locate Archive/Tar.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
Archive::Tar has a prereq of IO::Zlib, so that should be required also.
however, after i got Archive::Tar and IO::Zlib installed, sa-update still doesnt
produce any 50_scores.cf for me.... so whats up?

errr ya... i read the hackathon notes regarding all that.
my point was Archive::Tar and IO::Zip should be a prereq if sa-update is
required to produce the score sets during buildtime.
probably a bad bug title. :)

you mean 50_scores.cf, right?
that's going to be going away as part of this sa-update work -- see dev list...
