MySQL sqoop import fails with Unsuported major.minor version 51.0

Hi everyone,

My MYSQL sqoop import fails with Unsupported major.minor version. From my understanding this means that sqoop and the cloudera mapreduce are running on different Java JDK. I have tried changing Java home to make sure everything is using the same JDK version but I get the same error. How do I resolve this issue?

Hey there,

Is the error in your MapReduce job? Is this a single node cluster or a
multiple node cluster?

It sounds like you'll have to set JAVA_HOME in multiple places in order for
the class files to be ran in a Java 6 environment.
