About scheduler

If there are many kinds of workloads, we can schedule the same kinds of
workload in the same node or schedule them randomly, which way will be more
effective?

Because I want to control the lifetime of one job, so if I just schedule
them together within some nodes, I can control them more easily.  But I am
not quite sure if it is good. Any suggestion?
