Does Axis 1.4 supports log4j v1.2.13

Hi,

I understands that Axis 1.4 ships with log4j-1.2.8.jar.  However, I would 
like to find out if log4j v1.2.13 is supported or not.  Is there any 
official statement about this support or have anyone tested with it 
together with Axis 1.4?
