log4j appender and logging level is not working in my code
Hi,
Despite reading the log4j book, I still have questions about configuring
the log4j and add an appender to my class. I've put the log4j.properties
and JobTracker.java files below.
1 - I've this log4j file, and when I change in hadoop.root.logger from INFO
to DEBUG the output of the class org.apache.hadoop.mapred.JobTracker it's
still in INFO, and I don't understand why. When I change the root logger,
doesn't mean that everything will be in DEBUG?
2 - I also added the appender MOS in the properties file, but the
class MapStatusServlet isn't printing anything. I want to associate this
class to the appender MOS. How should I do it?
