[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-8952) TimeZone Doc Transformer

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-8952?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16259832#comment-16259832 ]

David Smiley commented on SOLR-8952:
------------------------------------

Hi [~alessandro.benedetti]. Do you mean something like {{\[dateformat f=mydateField]}} and it could consume the {{TZ}} parameter in the request if provided, or let a local-param override if given? And it would return a string of course. This should support a 'format' parameter to allow you to format it as you wish.

BTW this'd be the inverse of: http://www.solr-start.com/javadoc/solr-lucene/org/apache/solr/update/processor/ParseDateFieldUpdateProcessorFactory.html

> At the moment time zone is supported at query time[1] .
> Would be nice to have a document transformer able to return all the dates in the time zone in input.
