Subject: A very newbie question!

Hello,

      Sorry for newbie question.

1) Probably the easiest way to access elements in an XML doc/file
is to build a tree. What API does this? DOM? SOAP?

2) Can I build a tree for a well-formed (not necessarily validated)
XML doc?? My guess is yes, i.e. it doesn't have to be a
         valid doc

Thnaks,

Bill Halchin
