How to control flow in Jetspeed?

Hi all,

I would like to know more about how the application flow is controlled within, jetspeed. 
I assumed, that there must be something like the struts action-forward mechanism for jetspeed, is that true? And if so, how and where can I configure the flow, like what action class is called and depending on the result, which result page is rendered.
