Problems with nillable setting on elements and null parameters




Hi,

We've (Fred Preston and myself) found problems with empty elements, and
whether an element is nillable.

The following modification seems to work for us:
src/common/Param.cpp (See attached file: Param.cpp.patch)
Is this the correct way to resolve this?
