[jira] Created: (HARMONY-978) [drlvm]

[drlvm]
-------

                 Key: HARMONY-978
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-978
             Project: Harmony
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: App-Oriented Bug Reports, DRLVM
         Environment: Windows XP
            Reporter: Nathan Beyer

The JRE and HDK snapshots [1] are missing a javaw.exe. This make using the startup/shutdown scripts provided with Tomcat 5.5 unusable. The scripts fail, complaining that the environment variable JAVA_HOME is not pointing at a valid JDK. I've tried setting both JRE_HOME and JAVA_HOME and get the same results.

This should be resolved as soon as DRLVM is completely integrated with the launcher.

-------------------------------------------

the trick I've used is simply copy java.exe to javaw.exe.

It works for now...

I'll add that hack in the next rev of the snapshot
