[jira] [Commented] (PHOENIX-4706) phoenix-core jar bundles dependencies unnecessarily

Josh Elser commented on PHOENIX-4706:

[~sergey.soldatov], [~jamestaylor], thoughts on this? I'm pretty sure having these dependencies in phoenix-core is unnecessary (that's why we have phoenix-client now), but I'm a little worried about just being ignorant of some reason we still have this :)

> Got a report from some users about extra dependencies being included inside the phoenix-core jar. I was a little confused about this, but, sure enough, it's happening.
> Seems like this was done a very long time ago, but I'm not sure that it's really something we want to do since there is a dedicated phoenix-client jar now..
