apache -k shutdown, console closing

Summary: apache -k shutdown, console closing
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.39
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/windows.html
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Documentation
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: gallgosp@worldnet.att.net

The following documentation assumes that the console window will remain open,
but when working properly, the console window closes immediately without an
opportunity to enter the commands. This was using a striclty local console
installation of Apache.

Controlling Apache in a Console Window
You can tell a running Apache to stop by opening another console window and
running:

    apache -k shutdown
