Need to convert Lucene into Arabic search

Hello all,
  I wan to modify Lucene so that it supports Arabic text search. First
step, I want to understand the existing source code of Lucene. How can
I found some good tutorial supported with diagrams and explanations?

The problem is that there are some rules in Arabic which will affect
the search. For example, there are some characters which are added to
support the pronouncing. These characters are not significant in
comparing because they are not mandatory and some people may not write
it at all.

So, I need to change or add some code to support these rules.

                      I don't think u need to dig source code of Lucene.
Well i dont know much about it but its doc says, it's purely written in Java
 So if its in Java, it will be supporting all languages and character. U
work with Unicode. I can say, definitely it will work with Arabic.
