design spec not in Documents -> Design

Hi,

From the Hacker's Guide to Subversion:
> Print out and digest the Subversion design specification. This

> in the Documentation->Design folder.

However, the Documentation -> Design folder only contains these two
files:
"DeltaV Tutorial"
"WebDAV Usage"

I also searched the site for "design specification" and looked for all
HTML files and did not see it. (Yes, I read the other posts about the
tree controls and I am not having that problem).

Can someone please point me at the real location of this document?

thanks,
-rohan

Thankyou for calling attention to this error.

The design document has been taken down, because it was too out of date.
DocBook XML sources for it are archived in doc/design of the Subversion
tree, in case any intrepid volunteer feels like attempting to update it,
but in its current state, it is not suitable for newcomers to Subversion
- - there are too many bits of it which are no longer true.

At the present time, it serves only as a historic record of the thoughts
of the initial Subversion design team in 2000.

I will amend hacking.html.

Max.
