1.0.5 may be released this week (based on -M4 see: https://github.com/xerial/snappy-java/issues/6)  but we may want to test it more first.

1.0.5-M4 works for me (OSX 10.7.5, Java 7).

Can some others test changing the snappy.version in lang/java/pom.xml to 1.0.5-M4?
