Re: Incubator PMC/Board report for Aug 2012 ([ppmc])

Thanks Dennis. I always forget about the early deadline for the podling reports.

Given the lateness, I think we should ask to report next month instead. I expect to have a bit of time again in the next week or so.

Basic things I thought to include so far:
- committers have been busy elsewhere last quarter, not much activity
- still on the look out for new people to get involved as committers
- still clear goals for what to do next, when someone has cycles to pursue them
- Matthias resigned as a mentor
- should take note of when last committer was added, and when last release was

Cheers,
Brett

Thanks Dennis.

I added this:

---

NPanday allows projects using the .NET framework to be built with Apache Maven.
NPanday has been incubating since August 2010.

NPanday has had a lull of activity for several months as all the committers
have had other things occupying their time.

There are still clear goals for what to do next, when someone has cycles to pursue
them: produce a release of the most recent changes, and to better promote the
project among the .NET and Maven communities.

We continue to see occasional questions from users, and occasional patch submissions,
but haven't added a new committer since 20 April 2011.

The last release was on 16 May 2011.

Since the last report, Matthias Wessendorf resigned as a mentor. Nobody has stepped
in to replace him.

The top priorities towards graduation are:

  - work out a concrete plan towards graduation in the next quarter
  - encourage newer contributors to do so on a continuing basis.

---

I still hope to find some cycles soon to rally a release. A show of hands from anyone else interested in helping would be great :)

Cheers,
Brett

Hi,

I just read on general@incubator.a.o that a couple of September reports
are late. This includes NPanday. Can someone please put together
something ASAP. Brett's list from last month looks fine to me. Might be
good to add a note about the low traffic on lists as well.

Quoting Jukka:

-----
NPanday, since you missed already the August report, it would be
really good if we could have a status update now. From the list
archive it looks like activity remains alarmingly low, with only
Jenkins producing larger volumes of traffic.
