[jira] Commented: (CASSANDRA-1286) Nodetool ring crashes when no
schema is loaded
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-1286?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12894336#action_12894336 ]
dopsun commented on CASSANDRA-1286:
-----------------------------------
This becomes a real problem for Cassandra 0.7, because by default, Cassandra 0.7 does not load any key space, and means that cannot use the nodetool to check the newly setup cluster.

> Nodetool ring uses SP.getRangeToEndpointMap(null) that tries to retrieve the first non system keyspace.
> Hences it crashes (with a IndexOutOfBoundsException) if no schema is loaded.
> Should we return a nice little error message or make it work even no schema is loaded ?
