Had a fellow in IRC today that was having trouble uploading an icon. It turns out he was trying to upload a .bmp or .ico. Once I told him to use jpg or png, he was able to upload with no more issues.

A better error message indicating that they were using an invalid file format (and what the accepted formats are) would have gone a long way toward the user being able to solve this on his own.
