Installation with Virtualhosts under Apache

Hi,

I know that my problem is more related to Apache than to Embperl but I was
hoping that someone could help me anyway.
I am trying to get Apache to use Embperl to interpret all Files ending in
*.epl.
For that I used this directive just below (outside) my my various
Virtualhost definitions:

<Files *.epl>
    Action text/html /cgi-bin/embperl/embpcgi.pl
</Files>

This seemed to work fine with my first Virtualhost. However when I tried my
other Virtualhosts it wasnt working. So what I tried to do was to specify
the Files definition inside the Virtualhost definition like so:

<VirtualHost 192.168.0.1>
DocumentRoot /home/httpd/html/classified.ca/
ServerName test.classified.ca
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /home/httpd/cgi-bin/classified.ca/
<Files *.epl>
    Action text/html /cgi-bin/embperl/embpcgi.pl
</Files>
</VirtualHost>

However still no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction??

Thanks

Nico

I have something similar to the following in all my virtual hosts that
use Embperl.

# Virtual hosts
NameVirtualHost 10.1.1.3:80
NameVirtualHost 10.1.1.3:443

<VirtualHost 10.1.1.3:80>
	ServerName dev.mysite.com
	SSLDisable
	ServerAdmin neil@nilspace.com
	DocumentRoot /www/mysite/com/htdocs
	ErrorLog /www/mysite/com/logs/error_log
	TransferLog /www/mysite/com/logs/access_log
	PerlSetEnv EMBPERL_OPTIONS 16
	PerlSetEnv EMBPERL_MAILHOST mail.mysite.com
</VirtualHost>

# Set EmbPerl handler for main directory
<Directory "/www/mysite/com/htdocs/">
	<FilesMatch ".*\.(epl|htm|html)$">
		SetHandler  perl-script
		PerlHandler HTML::Embperl
		Options     ExecCGI
	</FilesMatch>
</Directory>

Hope this helps

-Neil

You have first to tell Apache that epl files are of type text/html

AddType text/html .epl

otherwise it will not trigger the Action handler
