[jira] [Closed] (MSITE-799) Test.md.vm is not rendering h2+ headers

Hervé Boutemy closed MSITE-799.
-------------------------------
    Resolution: Not A Problem
      Assignee: Hervé Boutemy

this is a common issue, like reported in DOXIA-561
I just found a way to document it to help people understand this conflict between Velocity and Markdown on ##:
see http://maven.apache.org/plugins-archives/maven-site-plugin-LATEST/examples/creating-content.html#Filtering
done in [r1812685|http://svn.apache.org/r1812685]

please review and propose improvements: I'm sure my prose is not the best, but I'm not native english speaker and I'm struggling on such cases

any other idea to document the issue is welcome

> I'm not entirely sure what the issue is here, but this also affects the maven pdf plugin. When a super simple markdown file (no .vm extension), the file renders just fine with H1-H3 headers. If i change the extension to add the .vm extension, H1 is rendered but not styled, H2-H3 aren't rendered at all.
> On the PDF side, i've tried using a newer version of velocity but it did not make a difference. I'm not sure if the problem is somewhere in doxia, or the site plugin or in velocity or maybe i'm just doing something silly and don't realize it
> Two test files are included
