--------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

This issue happened due to the patch on HIVE-14270, so the fix is included there.

> Change .hive-staging directory created on S3 to HDFS when using INSERT OVERWRITE
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: HIVE-14312
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-14312
> Project: Hive
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Reporter: Sergio Peña
>
> When running an INSERT OVERWRITE statement on S3 tables, Hive creates .hive-staging directories on the same S3 table location, and they are not clean up.
> We should create those temporary directories on HDFS instead.
