Request API Key/Invalid Email Address

Hi folks

Just updated my server code from svn and done a clean build/clean db.  Tried
to request an API key from admin and got 'Invalid Email Address' for a (two)
perfectly decent ones?

Can't see anything in issues for this, maybe I'm missing something?
