+Apache Lucy is full-text search engine library written in C and targeted at
+dynamic languages.  It is a "loose C" port of [Apache Lucene][2], a search
+engine library for Java.  In July 2010, Lucy was [proposed][3] as a candidate
+for entry into the [Apache Incubator][1] with the purpose of assimilating the
+[KinoSearch][4] code base and community and was accepted.  Prior to that, Lucy
