   In asynchronous mode, the life cycle of the parent object here may have ended. Usually it is a safe approach to go up until you find a root shell.
   
   @hansva This is why I have always expected a platform-level notification center: in some scenarios, the simple message Dialog is a bit inadequate to deal with such scenarios.
