Yes.  This was fixed via https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-550.  It isn't in 0.4 as it requires support from Hive to consult Ranger before returning metadata information.  Description of this JIRA could have been better -- my bad.  I have added a note in comments so others can locate it easily.
