localhost:10389/689 Connection refused
Hi,
I have some connection issues by using apacheds1.0.x .
while establishing a connection with Apache directory server,I am getting message called "The connecton Failed ".
I have tested differnt port in server.xml file as 10389/689/2003...etc.
This problem occuring in office PC only.
Install,configure and run sample schema successfully in my personal PC.
can you suggest me,what is the problem for office PC...and advice me is there any chenges required for firewall settings.

And also tell us if your ADS is on your local PC, or is a remote server.
In the former case, then the server might simply not be started, due to
some configuration pb (check the logs). If the server is remote, it can
be anything like a FW bad settings. Check with your admin, or check if
you can connect on the remote server locally.

Don't have enough information here to figure out what your problem is
exactly. You may have to provide your server.xml file or just try the
latest out of hte box installer for apache ds 1.5.2 and let us know if you
still have the same problem.

Thanks, I was only looking for confirmation because I couldn't get a
connection to the server either (which I'd meant to put in my report
more clearly!).
Anyway, I've gone through the config and changed the port to 384 and
everything is fine now.

I will try to fix those warnings. These are harmless, but give a wrong
"message" to our users !

Yep I warned about users freaking out about this. But it's nothing to worry

Those are "normal" logs for a 1.5.2 version.
Just forget them... ;)
Even if the server complains, it does not affect the functionnalities, and
the server works correctly.
I think (hope) it'll be fixed in 1.5.3, because it can be very disturbing to
have error messages when launching.
It feels like the server has some problems while actually, it's ok...

1.5.2 On Windows

I've been trying to install 1.5.2 on Windows XP for test purposes. I
completely removed previous installations first and just ran the
installation program and selected to start the default instance.
It appears that it's not starting up, although the service is running,
as I get the following in the log.
Any ideas what it might be?
