Multiple sources of Input

Dear gentlemen,

i am studying apache source code and i am trying to figure it out how
apache manage to obtain data from multiple sources of data, more
precisely, i am "worried" about DNS.

So, How does apache concurrently handles user incoming connection from
multiple source and at the same time does DNS lookup?
