When importing content resource change events are fired and - at least in the default setting - resources are synchronized back to the repository. This generates unneeded load on the repository and makes the import action slow.

Our current mechanism does not work, since the publishing is done asynchronously on a different thread, and therefore we can't affect it reliably.
