Detect Batik from script

I am noticing a difference in behavior between the Batik viewer and Adobe SVG
Viewer when tspans are used with Hebrew and Latin text. Is there a way to
detect which viewer is used from the script code? In this way I may be able
to modify script behavior based upon the viewer.
